2050 is a curated music stream.
As such, 2050.digital is built as an audio-first space, that is accessible to everyone with a busy schedule and an internet browser.
Why?
We plan to keep curating the music - and playlists - for the next 6 months, so you do not have to. 2050 also plans to improve its service and UI in the process.

What music do you stream (is it not my kind of sound)?
Through its program, 2050 pays tribute to electronic music, and the scene in which it evolves. To reflect this, the playlists' music is selected to fit the schedule of someone who lives and works in a city such as Berlin.
We (2050) curate, to the best of our capacity, the sound we stream.
For example, the Mermaid track list is solely dedicated to electronic tracks that we deem of high quality and worth sharing on 2050.digital on a specific schedule in the evenings. While this remains always true, we also choose from a larger pool of sounds and rhythms, to satisfy our curious ears and fit the time of the day.
Most importantly, 2050.digital only plays purchased music and programs.
How can I use this 2050 internet page?
In order to minimize distractions, 2050.digital reduced as much as possible the number of links and clickable events on the website. There are no notifications of any kind either.

3. Press Pause (when you have more important things to listen-to)
What kind of news you post?
2050 has a "News" section where we publish information and updates about the activity of 2050.digital. However, our "News" section has no ambitions.
We have a few updates every now and then, usually outside of the social media cycle.
What is under the hood?
The entirety of 2050.digital services and code is self-hosted (and located in Germany).
The backend is built around a robust scheduling - and media processing - technology called Liquidsoap.
The frontend (this website) was developed specifically for the purpose of 2050, with stability and privacy in-mind.

Our Privacy Policy:
- For Analytics, 2050 uses privacy-friendly solutions. No Google Analytics.
- 2050.digital only collects aggregate data. Never personal data.
- The data collected is minimized as much as possible, to comply with multiple regulations.
